Happy Tails: Val

When Val came in to us, she was very scared and shutdown, under-socialized and fearful of people.  She was terrified and was not willing to come out of her kennel.  She went to foster with one of our behaviour department staff members, who did a great job of socializing her and advocating for her needs. Val opened up with further help from her foster brother Levi, and we knew she needed a dog friend in her new home to help her come out of her shell. She found the perfect home with her new big siter, Molly!

Her new mom tells us, “We were touched when we saw Val’s story and just knew our dog Molly would be the perfect big sister for her. In a very short time, Val has quickly picked up on Molly’s behaviors and copies everything she does. She’s getting over her fear of humans, is allowing herself to accept pets and treats and is the best snuggler!”

“Val absolutely worships her big sister and follows her around everywhere. And Molly is patient and tolerates her annoying new puppy sibling better than we could have hoped. We’re so happy to have Val as a part of our family!
