Pocahontas needed to find a home outside of Ontario due to provincial breed bans, and thankfully, a kind volunteer offered to drive her all the way to New Brunswick to be with her new family (who also adopted pit bull mix Bambi – now Zoe – last year!). Well, she’s arrived safely, and is already settling in well! Her Mom Melanie tells us “My husband Rick and I would like to say a big thank you to WECHS and to Matt for getting Pocahontas, now Kota, to us. She’s such a sweet dog and already fits right in with our other dogs, (who are also WECHS alumni) Angel and Zoe. She is also great with our cats, Deko and Millie. I think Kota will have a great life full of fun and outdoor adventures here in New Brunswick! We are so happy… She’s such a delight!”
