I adopted Koda 2 years ago, and it’s been such an amazing two years. I just wanted to do an anniversary check in of sorts 

She’s such a smart and clever girl. Mostly well behaved, only eats the house when I’m gone on the rare occasion. I regret her long stay with y’all, but I can’t regret it too much as I got to meet her and she accepted me as her human. I’ve a doggy door which she loves, altho as she managed to escape when I wasn’t home one time, she’s locked in when I leave. The neighbours were out and got her back into the house and called me immediately. I’ve never driven so fast from PetSmart in my life. 

Her and Zep did well even with him being a cranky old.man. We.lost him the following July, so they had each other for 6 months. She’s doing well as a single dog, altho is now showing some anxiety when I leave. I’m using calming treats, a calming playlist, leave a jammie top I’ve worn and I give her a treat ball so she’s too busy to notice when I go. It seems to be working.

She still looses her noodle for squirrels, Optimist Dog Park requires two ppl else I’d be a pull toy again. She responds to commands when asked, although she likes to have the last word when she’s barking at air. One of her nicknames is Barky McBarkerson. She barks no where near as much as she did initially. It’s still HER yard and ppl know it. 

She’s still playful, affectionate and I like to believe happy. My vet says she’s in excellent health and was impressed by her compliance, altho she’s not a fan of her nails getting clipped and using the grinder has been a no go. Shame as she has black claws. My vet gets toe clipping duty. Mind you she tears up and down the sidewalk in my yard front to back being in guard that her nails are basically being ground down.
