We had visited Yay For Strays back in December in hopes to find a furry friend that could come home with us. When we got there, we were immediately greeted by Orleans who was so friendly. The employee there told us that Orleans had a friend at the Cafe, they weren’t bonded but they did like being near each other. We saw a little face sticking out from the cat tree, her name was Jasmine. She was timid, but friendly. Jasmine was quite emaciated at the time, sadly. We absolutely fell in love with both of them and we knew that they were meant to be ours. Unfortunately, Orleans had an application already so we were unable to take him home, but Jasmine came with us and her name is now Mabel. 3 days later, we got a call saying that the adoption application for Orleans fell through, so we were able to take him home that night – completely meant to be!! And that is the story on how we got Dipper & Mabel! 

They are the BEST of friends. Lots of playing, cuddling & stealing each other’s treats! Mabel is now at a very healthy weight and continues to thrive, as does Dipper. We could not be happier, they are the perfect addition to our family and we are so grateful for the Humane Society & Yay For Strays.
