Become a Volunteer

volgistics

The Windsor-Essex County Humane Society (WECHS) is grateful for the compassionate care, dependability, and skills that our volunteers bring to the benefit of the animals in our care. Individuals from our community commit time, talents and donations to assist staff and support the animal programs that allow us to continue the important work that we do in animal welfare in the Windsor-Essex region.

Our various volunteer positions provide for the opportunity to contribute to the care of animals in need, support our mission, and give back to the community.  We are fortunate to have a strong and dedicated volunteer team and as such, we don’t always have a lot of openings available.

Programs with openings are posted below, as they come available.  Applicants to our volunteer programs are accepted based on suitability, interest, skills and our available positions.

We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those individuals selected for an interview will be contacted.
