Rex’s Legacy: A program for qualified candidates on disability to have their pets spayed or neutered at no cost.

Rex was the beloved friend of Rita and the late Dr. Jay Rampure.  Last year, they donated an ultrasound machine to the Humane Society in his honour, and Rita recently honoured Rex’s memory again with a gift to help individuals receiving support from the Ontario Disability Support Program.  Applications from qualifying pet caregivers to have their pet spayed or neutered will be accepted as long as funds are available.  Applications can be submitted online or a paper copy can be filled out at the Humane Society Veterinary Clinic during regular clinic hours.

Members of the public who are interested in helping to continue this program are asked to consider a donation to “Rex’s Legacy”; all donations will directly sponsor spay and neuter surgeries for the pets of local individuals in need.  Donate online at windsorhumane.org.
