2018 Municipal Election Candidate Survey Results

Animal lovers are often curious about candidates’ positions on animal welfare issues. Those positions are often not included in campaign materials or candidate debates, which can make it hard for voters to learn where candidates stand. So, for the second municipal election in a row, the Humane Society distributed a survey to all candidates asking for their views on animal issues.  We received responses from 77 candidates.

The survey results are sorted by municipality.  Only the names of candidates who completed the survey are included; if a candidate isn’t listed then we didn’t receive a survey response from them.

As the sheets include a lot of information, they may look hard to read when you first open them.  But if you use the “zoom” function you can make the sheet larger and review the candidates’ responses.

Please note that the responses are being presented in these results as provided by the candidates.  As a registered charity, the Humane Society cannot endorse or recommend one candidate over another.
