Almond in his forever home

guinea pig

A few weeks ago, my daughters and I came in and adopted a guinea pig named Almond, hoping that he would become friends with our two young piggy boys already at home.

That part of the plan didn’t work. There was mayhem and dominance issues and everyone was upset.

So…okay, we separated them, built him his own enclosure near them but not in with them, and everyone seems content.

He was very shy and withdrawn at first, and a VERY fussy eater. But he’s relatively curious, calm, and starting to wheek and purr and gurgle at us. And he’s becoming quite cuddly!

Thank you,

Kristina
