Birthday Bunny & Donation
Conor decided this year for his 8th birthday that he didn’t want any gifts for himself, he wanted to give gifts to the Humane Society. He asked all his friends to donate supplies and money to help out all the animals at the shelter. He only had one gift request for himself, a bunny. Conor got his bunny, Nibbles, and brought all the other goodies by the Humane Society to help out all of our animals. Thanks Conor!
Colorful Bandanas
The 5th anniversary show of ‘For Love of Isis’ was a great success. In addition to the funds raised, a few of the dancers took liberty of sewing a basket full of colorful bandanas for our dogs and cats. Thanks goes especially to Jodi & Vanessa for their hard work.

Generous Birthday Boys & Girls
A big Thank You goes out to the following Birthday boys and girls who have selflessly collected donations for the Humane Society instead of birthday gifts:
Elise raised $250 for her 12th birthday– way to go, Elise!
Noah turned 6 and collected many in-kind donations for the animals. These are sure to keep tails wagging!
Case did an awesome job of collecting food and toys for the animals. Thank you, Case!
Spring Car Show n’ Shine
A big thank you to Windsor Area Mustang Club for donating the proceeds from their Spring Car Show n’ Shine to the Humane Society. The Club raised an awesome $450 for the animals in our care.
Celebrating Volunteerism
Congratulations goes out to Madison Dugdale and Shelly Renaud, the winners of our volunteer fundraising challenge!
The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society would also like to thank all the families, local groups, and individuals who participated in our National Volunteer Week activities. Here are a few memorable photos from the week:
National Volunteer Week kicked off on Sunday, April 21st with our first Family Volunteer Day.
We were lucky to have a group of young women from Voices of Youth in Community, part of the Youth and Family Resource Network of Essex County help us with some spring cleaning.
We were also luck to have a team from Target Canada help give our Community Room a new look. We love our bright and sunny room!
We celebrated our current volunteers by offering a variety of enriching workshops, including a grooming workshop, and we enjoyed a fun relaxing evening celebration too!
