This lovely young man is William! For his 7th birthday he decided to ask his friends and family for donations to help support the animals. He stopped by to drop off his donation of almost $200 this past week. Thank you William for your generosity and support!

Thank you so much to Elise and the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls organization, for stopping by with a donation for the animals. The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls is a non-profit youth organization that teaches leadership, confidence and citizenship. Elise was chosen by the group to chose where the funds would be donated to and she chose WECHS. On behalf of all the animals here Elise, thank you for your support!

Gracie celebrated her birthday recently by asking for donations for the animals instead of gifts.  She stopped by recently with her family to drop everything off, and while she was here, got in some cuddle time with this baby kitten!  

Thank you so much to the lovely ladies of Preceptor Epsilon Phi for stopping by last week to present us with their donation of both items and cash. Preceptor Epsilon Phi is a social organization or sorority who raises money and gives it away to local charities.  They are open to all women who would like to join. They are seen here with Sasha who was recently adopted.

Max joined us as well to celebrate his birthday by asking for items to donate instead of gifts. Thank you Max for your support and Happy Birthday!

This past Monday was the sweetest day of the year for many animals across Ontario! Thank you to Jeanine and everyone at Greenhawk Equestrian Sport Essex County for supporting National Cupcake Day!

To help raise funds for the Humane Society Jeanine and her staff sold cupcakes in store all weekend. As a result of the cupcake sales they raised $250 to help animals like Rose who stopped by to say thank you! Thank you as well to everyone who stopped by for a treat.


Did you know that pets with microchips are far more likely to be reunited with their owners due to them getting lost? Help your pet find their way home!

Pet owners can stop by the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society Veterinary Clinic on Wednesday March 13th to get their pets microchipped! The clinic will be running 12pm-4pm on a first come first serve basis. Microchips are only $20 during this promotion!

Thank you so much to the students in Ms. Brown’s class at General Brock for holding a donation drive. During January the students brought in items to help the animals during their stay at the shelter. They donated everything from cat and dog food to warm blankets and toys. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity Bulldogs!

Thank you so much to Claire for her generosity and celebrating her birthday with the animals! She raised over $500 in donations and some supplies to help out the pets waiting for their forever families. She was also thanked by Smokey the kitten who gave her a snuggle for her birthday!
