If you’re currently a Humane Hero who increases your monthly donation or if you become a new Humane Hero monthly donor between May 1 & May 31 2014, you’ll receive a FREE river cruise for two courtesy of Windsor River Cruises.

Our Humane Hero monthly giving program is the best way to be a continuous partner in animal welfare. Our monthly giving program is safe and secure. Each month, we deduct your gift from your credit card, bank or Paypal account. You’ll be a partner in:

–  The fight for animal welfare
–  Providing medical treatment for animals in need
–  Operating our public spay/neuter clinic
–  Investigating & prosecuting animal cruelty
–  Maintaining adoption programs & finding forever homes

Signing up is easy, click here to donate online, download this form and mail it back, or come to the Humane Society in person. Donations are deducted straight from your bank account or credit card on the first of each month, saving you time and keeping our administrative costs low. Being a Humane Hero is the most cost effective and environmentally friendly way to help animals in Windsor/Essex. Once you sign up, you’ll receive your cruise by mail.

Instead of getting gifts for her 10th birthday, Ophelia asked friends for donations for the animals at the Humane Society.  Ophelia raised $155.  To top it all off, Ophelia and her friends made beautiful cozy cushions for the cats to sleep on.  Thank you so much Ophelia, you are truly a remarkable girl!  The Humane Society staff and animals appreciate your generosity.

Our Mutt Madness event has come to a close.  Thank you for plastering our Facebook and Twitter pages with fantastic mutt pics.  Our two Mutt Madness winners are Chance and Abby!

Chance and Abby will both receive complementary DNA tests from DNA My Dog.

Thank you to everyone who participated, we loved seeing your amazing pics!

Here are a few more #MUTT MADNESS submissions.  ENJOY!

Thank you Brianna, Jadelyn, Jordan, Kareem & Caleb for hosting a PJ day at their school! These five kids from John Campbell Public School asked their principal to hold a school-wide pajama day to raise money for the Humane Society. The students hyped up the day on their announcements and made home made posters throughout the school. Great work!

PJ Day

4-year old Madisyn emptied her piggy bank to help out the animals.  Thank you so much Madisyn, you rock!

A big thank you to Jacob, Colin, Noah and Nolan! These boys were busy making Rainbow Loom bracelets over the last month. They sold the bracelets to friends, family and classmates to raise money for the animals at the Humane Society. Together they were able to raise $208! Congratulations boys, the money will go a long way to helping the animals in our care!
